Meet Our Team
Shauna grew up in Winnipeg and moved to the Island to raise her family. Shauna's three children are all grown now and she and her love enjoy travelling on their own. Shauna enjoys spending time with her dogs and riding her motorcycle.
Barbara has been an invaluable member of our team since 2005. She graduated from Niagara College with a certified dental assistance degree and obtained her dental hygienist degree from St. Clair College. Barbara aims to establish strong relationships with her patients so they can feel comfortable while under her care. She emphasizes the importance of the connection between oral health and overall well-being and takes pride in being a part of her patients’ journey toward strong, healthy smiles.
Originally from Brantford, Ontario, Barbara and her husband Dave have two children, Maggie and Everett, and are the proud pet parents to a dog named Jack. She enjoys hiking, working out, yoga, travelling, or just curling up with a good book.
An unapologetic people person, Dellas loves meeting new patients and forming enduring relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and kindness. She understands that learning is a life-long endeavor and aims to educate her patients on every aspect of their oral health while fostering a positive and comfortable environment. Dellas thrives in our supportive team environment and greets everyone with a warm and friendly smile.
Born and raised right here on Vancouver Island, Dellas relishes the tranquility of small-town life where she can raise her kids, Daniel and Jillian. Dellas enjoys garden design, travelling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Born and raised right here on Vancouver Island, Sarah is the newest addition to our team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Vancouver Island University in 2003. She continued her studies at Algonquin College in Ottawa, where she obtained her diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2007. She has since worked as a dental hygienist in Canada and Australia. A firm believer in prevention, Sarah focuses on connecting with her patients on a personal as well as professional level and promoting oral hygiene through education and lifestyle habits.
Sarah is a sports enthusiast who enjoys taekwondo, skiing, mountain biking, running, hockey, snowboarding, and gardening.
Erika was a CDA at Bayview Dental
for 5 years before going back to school to become a dental hygienist. Upon
completing her degree in Toronto, Erika was eager to get back to "island
Life" here and was welcomed with open arms back into our office, where she
got to be reunited with some of her patients, just on the "other
side" of the office. In her downtime from the office, Erika enjoys going
to the gym and traveling.
Karen joined our office following
her family's move from the mainland to Qualicum Beach. She brings with her a
bright smile, an amazing "can do" attitude, and years of experience.
When Karen's not busy with our patients, she cherishes spending time with her
hubby and their daughter or walking her dog, Oscar.
