Our friendly and experienced administration team are here to help you make every aspect of your appointment details easy – from your first call, to your first appointment, to a lifetime of care at Bayview Dental. Treatment coordination
You're likely online searching for a dentist in Qualicum Beach because you have a specific need or concern. Now is the time to voice it and we welcome your call! When you come in, we’ll talk with you about your past and present dental health, your goals and wishes, and our recommendations. If you’d like to continue care at Bayview Dental, we will propose a treatment plan and include your thoughts and ideas and comments so that you understand our plans and are comfortable with how we progress.
Hygiene
When you come for your first hygiene appointment, your hygienist will complete a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth. We want to get to know you, so this appointment will be a little longer than a routine hygiene appointment as we’ll create a “mouth map” so we have a baseline of your oral health. Your hygienist is also a wealth of information about health care and encourages you to engage, discuss, and ask questions about your smile so that you can care for it at home in the best possible way.
Checkup & Diagnostics
At your checkups, you’ll meet with the doctor who will perform an exam and review the results which will be presented to you and discussed with you. We love being able to share your digital x-rays with you; they’re such a valuable tool so that you can see what we see so no question is left unanswered. We’ll work with you to determine how we move forward, ensuring our decisions are made with you to ensure the best plan for your dental health. If you have questions, the doctor will be happy to answer them. While you’re in our chair, our focus is 100% on you!
Sedation
At Bayview Dental, during your treatment we would like you to feel as comfortable as possible. We currently offer two types of conscious sedation in our office. Please discuss your needs with the dentist so that you are prepared for your appointment and aware of any costs you might incur.
