» Dr. Chris Gill, BSc, DMD

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Dr. Chris Gill grew up in Victoria. After graduating from Claremont Senior Secondary School he attended the University of Victoria where he completed his bachelor degree in biology and graduated with honours.

It was while attending UVic that Dr. Gill had the opportunity to shadow some dentists, and soon found he had a genuine interest in dentistry and a passion for the dentist-patient relationship.

That introduction prompted Chris to apply to the University of British Columbia (UBC) dental program, and he was accepted the year after completing his bachelor degree. After finishing dental school in May of 2003, he moved back to Victoria where he began practicing dentistry full-time.

In 2007 Dr. Gill purchased the Bayview Dental and Implant Centre from founder Dr. Paul Connor. After eight years of dental practice he continues to expand his skills through continuing education with a strong interest in implant dentistry.

Dr. Gill and his wife Mariana are proud parents of young daughter Julieta, and share their home with a dog named Coconut, and a cat named Simba.

His love of hands-on laboratory gold work led him to be one of the founding members of the Upper Island Richard Tucker Cast Gold Study Club (1982), and this discipline and continuing studies in occlusion led to a dental reconstruction practice. Paul was one of the early implant practitioners (first patient 1988) and is now the mentor for an implant study club.
